Choose Joy
Examine your life. This exercise will reveal what you value. Are you choosing stress, unrest, and disappointment? Stop waiting to be happy. Get in a joyful state of mind. Find joy in each moment, not longing to experience it.
Understand Joy
Make time for stillness. Use these opportunities to learn more about what brings you joy. It’s good to check in with yourself given the very definition of joy may change life transforms you. Hush the noises that exists in your life. Intentionally allow yourself to relish in a quieted mind and let go of what does not serve you well.
Sense Joy
Live fully in the present. Take full advantage of your senses...sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. Delight in the simple sensations of life acknowledging the gift of the now.
Accommodate Joy
It is not enough to talk about wanting happiness. You must make room for happiness to settle in. Simplify. Declutter. Remove unhealthy relationships or habits. Don’t procrastinate. Take action. Carve out time and space for pleasure. Replace complaining with rejoicing. Life is too short to misplace your joyfulness.
Find Joy
Don’t worry about controlling that which you cannot control. The past is the past. Don’t compare yourself to others. You are you. Don’t fixate on where you failed or what you are not; this steals your contentment creating room for frustration and pain. Reframe and refresh your mind with thoughts of gratitude.
Wishing you joy during this holiday season and beyond!!!
