Mindfulness plays a role in how we use our defining moments to grow our self awareness and flourish our best self. Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and physical sensations. Without practicing mindfulness, you may let a moment pass without observing its significance.
